After seven years as The Center for Family & Crisis Counseling, we have changed our business name to Counseling Specialists of Central Florida. It would be important to note the reason for this change.
In the Spring of 2009, our family was struck with an absolutely unexpected tragedy, forever changing not only our lives but the course each day thereafter would take. As we began walking through the process of recovery, we found ourselves in graduate school pursuing degrees that would one day be the basis for this business. In 2013, we established The Center for Family & Crisis Counseling (CFC Counseling, Inc.) because we wanted to focus on families and those in crisis.
In the Spring of 2019, we realized that the name we were operating under no longer reflected what we had become. We did not just assist families or those in crisis. We help individuals, couples, and families through the greatest challenges in their lives. As such, we began the process to rebrand ourselves into a better reflection of who we help and what we do. So in the Summer of 2019, we founded Counseling Specialists of Central Florida (Counseling Specialists, Inc.) and officially began operating under that name as of January 2020.
Regardless of the name we utilize, we are in business because in one of the darkest times of our lives highly qualified and experienced people came alongside us. They provided us with hope when we had none, gave us help when we did not know where to go or what to do, and facilitated the healing we so desperately needed. We exist to do the same for others.
